2 months out!!!!

I did it!  Finally figured out how to do the side by side thing!
So anyways - first picture (ratty old gown) - night before surgery - 1/19/2011 - 299 pounds
Second pic - today - 3/20/2011 - 259 pounds!!!!

Here are the side views.

Booths

St. Patty's Day we took the girls to a new park.  We let them play a while, and we had intentions on going to Lowes as well.  We decided to eat dinner at Waffle House (Abby's choice).

There are booths there.  Usually - I don't care to go there, because if I actually FIT inside the booth, it's very uncomfortable.  My belly is smushed.  And it's hanging onto the table!  NOT FUN!

We go in, and I have allie with me and I look at the seat, dreading sliding into that tiny space.  I sit down - and I have room!  It's not uncomfortable!  My belly doesn't even begin to touch the table!!!!!  I have about 2 inches between my belly and the table!  Can you believe that??!

Ben ordered some type of big "breakfast" meal - Allie and I both ate off his plate.  :)  Abby had herself a waffle.  It felt good!!!!!!!

4 weeks post op

These two pictures are 4 weeks out.  I am now six weeks out - will have to take more tonight - but I just realized, I never took any at 5 weeks.  Not sure why...

I really want to put up comparrison pictures - like do a side by side thing - but can't figure it out just yet.

Oh my Goodness......

Have you ever seen these??  Have you ever EATEN these??

Cadbury Mini Eggs
My FAVORITE candy

They mostly come out at Easter, but some stores, mainly Target will bring them out at Christmas (only and red and green colors)

Anyways - absolute FAVORITE candy.  Not even NEAR healthy candy.  Well, it's almost spring time, so these are in stores.  Multiple stores.  And I want them sooo bad.

2 years ago, I attended a seminar for ultrasound in Birmingham.  I was by myself, so I had to go out and find dinner alone, would go shopping to "waste" time, and then I found myself some of these babies and took them back to the hotel.  I sat and watched TV and ate these.  And drank my Coke, I'm sure.  I could EASILY eat a bag of these a day.  I love them THAT much.  I craved them when I was prego with Allie.  I sent my brothers on a trip to target a few weeks before Allie was born to get me some.  See, I was on bedrest, so I couldn't go myself.  My loving brothers brought me back three bags!  I pretty much demolished about a half a bag right then.  Then I had the others to munch on.  YUMMY.  LOVE THEM.  Well, tomorrow, I'm once again headed to Birmingham for another US seminar all alone.  And I kinda don't have a clue what I'm going to do.  Obviously, I will NOT be munching on these all night in my room.  I can't eat them now!  It's against the rules!  And I definately do NOT want to know what they would do to my new pouch.  Ouch!  So I will be eating out - choosing very very wisely off any and all kids menus because I won't have any way to "save" any leftovers in the hotel room.  I will be spending a lot of time in the hotel gym to keep me busy.  There is an indoor pool - I might even do that!  But eventually I will have to go back to my room "awake" and all I can think about is that I can't have those precious, yummy, fabulous, terrible for me, candies!  And I will munch on some kind of protein chip or peanuts.  :)

My FAVORITE food......... at least pre-op......

A grilled chicken Caesar pita with fries from Chili's.
YUMMO

About a year ago, they took it off the menu.  I was soooo disappointed!  I wouldn't even go there anymore!
Well Sunday, my mom and I had a day of shopping to ourselves, without my precious babies, and we went to Chili's to eat lunch.  I just asked the waitress if they had any kind of pitas left - she said, oh, yeah!  We have them on the "old-timey" menu.  I was like seriously?!?!  So I ordered my old favorite - dressing on the side.  I literally was able to eat about a 1/4 or less of the pita - and it wasn't even as good as I remembered ...  :(  But - I got it and LOVE that they have it back again.  I ate two fries after I ate the portion of my pita, and I was seriously stuffed.  I took the rest home to Ben.  He enjoyed it for me.  :)

On another note - yesterday, I had my 6 week check up - things are going great.  Got the approval to eat the "gummy" vitamins, since I'm having such a hard time with the chewables.  I also got approval to drink from a straw on occasion!  Yay!  I just have to be smart about it and go slow, and if I feel I'm getting bloaty or uncomfortable, I have to stop.  I got weighed - total lost since 2 weeks preop (Jan 5th) ......  47 pounds gone!!!!!!!  I couldn't believe it!  Wow!!!  So happy!!
